Delivering a keynote address on ‘0.Gujarat: An Industrial Powerhouse Driving Economic Growth‘ at the World Hindu Economic Forum in Mumbai on Sunday, chief minister Bhupendra Patel said that the state is dedicated to ensuring a green future with the renewable energy and green hydrogen policies. He added that the Dholera SIR (special investment region), with world-class infrastructure and logistics, has become a top investment choice for semiconductors and other emerging sectors.
The three-day event will have the participation of over 1,000 Hindu business entrepreneurs from about 40 countries. Patel also paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of his death anniversary on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, Patel said that Gujarat made significant contributions to industrial production, GDP, and exports, establishing it as an industrial powerhouse. “Gujarat is poised to lead in emerging sectors, with three semiconductor plants set to become operational. The state’s first Make in India semiconductor chip will also be manufactured in Gujarat. Dholera SIR’s world-class infrastructure and logistics make it a top investment choice for various sectors, including semiconductors and defence manufacturing,” an official statement quoted the CM as saying.
